Juvederm ™ is offered in two formulations: Juvederm ™ Ultra for use in areas where subtle volume enhancement is required, and Juvederm ™ Ultra Plus for correction of severely deep folds and wrinkles. The Juvederm ™ procedure takes about 15 minutes and can easily be fitted into a hectic lifestyle. After injecting Juvederm ™, the treated area is gently massaged.To avoid the risks of temporary redness, itching or swelling, patients should avoid strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours. Some patients experience injection-related reactions, including redness, pain, firming, swelling, or bumps. These are normally mild and clear up on their own within 7 days. An ice pack applied to the treatment area for a brief period can be used to alleviate these symptoms.
