Testing
In today’s society almost everyone has nutritional deficiencies that can be due to: taking medications that deplete your body of vital nutrients, having a less than balanced diet, and taking OTC vitamins instead of medical grade supplements and nutriceuticals. It is important to know what nutrients you are deficient in so you can replenish vital nutrients to feel better and live a healthier life.
Spectracell measures the levels of selected vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other essential micronutrients within your white blood cells. The testing is conducted by doing a simple blood test in our office. Once we receive your lab findings, Dr. Shel can then prescribe the proper diet and supplementation to improve your overall health and wellness.
Nutritional Supplements
Not many people are aware that most vitamins and minerals we buy OTC have a very low absorption rate. While it seems we are diong something good for our health by taking these supplements, we are fortunate if we absorb 30% of these products. The difference between OTC supplements and pharmaceutical grade supplements is the higher level of absorption along with higher quality ingredients in medical grade products. We carry an extensive line of only pharmaceutical grade supplements and nutriceuticals in our office.
